Still gushing over the proposal vid from the previous post but yay! Finally drafted out a proper post of my entire holiday so here goes.
To sum my holidays up,
these are just a fraction of what I have and are prolly not enough to share how exciting and fulfilling this holidays were to me.
This holiday, I had my practicum for 5 weeks & I must say, I've really learnt so much from every single child in that centre. Every single day, they inspire and teach me so much about the little things in life which I tend to overlook or neglect in the process. They remind me how easy it is to be contented just by simple gestures, they shower me with love and show me love in its purest and simplest forms but most of all they taught me the art of giving.
My dearest K2s, I remember passing by your classes when you lil ones were only 5 but in the passing eye, all of you are gonna present to your proud parents & teachers the dance that you all have been rehearsing for the past one and a half months this Saturday. Despite spending a short period with you angels but I cannot thank you all more for allowing me to have the best practicum sessions ever. Thank you for all the "Good Morning Ms Ernchi!" which never fails to brighten my day, for all the endless hugs and kisses you all give, how once one of you come over and give me a hug, the rest will follow suit and just pounce and jump on me. That is when there will be loads of love around the classroom. I'm so proud of each and every one of you, be a better self which you can ever be always.
Till now, I still miss you kiddos and I can't wait to see some of you tomorrow and I know that you guys will rock the stage on Saturday. (':
I also found time to meet my clique and my sec school clique (: It was really great to see them despite us being really busy with school and our own lives. It is times like these which I am really thankful for because looking back, we've all come a long way & it is really good to know that no matter what, I'll still have my good friends and BFFs to fall back on.
Then, I had class chalet which was really a good way to get to know my classmates even better and bond with them. The late night and having Clara to entertain us with her nonsensical self as always, it was really great to see the girls becoming closer.
Towards the end, I had LAC with my dearest Excos & I am so darn proud of every single one of us because camp was such a success! It would not have been this successful if not for everyone's help, effort & contribution. There was this sense of satisfaction when I heard the feedback, so so proud of us all. The late nights and preparation was worth it. Apart from that, I learnt so much from some of you & it aspires me to be a better leader. I believe that through this camp, we've grown stronger and closer to one another & I cannot wait to see how successful our future events will be.
But most importantly, Family time. Without them, there will never be a me. Super super glad that I could have dinnz and stayed over at my Grandma's this hols to accompany her because she's the only grandparent I have left. Till now, my biggest regret was not spending enough time with Gong Gong & Popo and I wouldn't want to repeat the same mistake. I miss them dearly and if I could turn back time, I would make time to visit them weekly like how we used to when we were younger.
And finally, I got to spend quality time with the Godfam. It has been so long & I'm so thankful that Godsissy asked me out for a shopping date which led to a stayover. It felt so homey and comforting knowing that they will always support me and lend me a hearing ear. Advice which they give and everything they have given me - thankful for that. Home, is where the heart is.
Lastly, I'm so glad that I manage to spend pockets full of time here & there with my favourite person this holiday. Thank you for being ever so understanding towards my busy schedule and being so supportive. I've learnt alot from you and also got to learn more about you along the way. Things you've done, the moral support, reminders and so much more. Hehehe, you're the best ever sweetie xoxo!
