How has your weekend been?
Cause mine went really really well, minus today's accident :( tell you all more about it later.
On Saturday, Pearlyn & I decided to go on a shopping spree!! Finally some shopping after the exams & splurge on myself because I can. Hahaha. Because Pearlyn needed to enquire Cake Spade regarding some catering stuffs so we headed down to Cake Spade & conveniently ordered two cakes for ourselves :D
On the left: Oreo brownie ; on the right: Strawberry Tofu Cheesecake.
The day before when Pearlyn told me that we'll be heading down to Cake Spade, I did my own research about the cakes/brownies they offered. And the first thing that caught my eye was: TOFU CHEESECAKE. "Eeewww, weird combo" that's the first thing that came to my mind but the adventurous part of me wanted to try it out too. And I honestly did not expect it to taste this good!!
There was no taste of Tofu at all & as compared to the other cheesecakes I ate or made, it was really light & not so jelat (feeling really full & bloated after having a few mouths) like other cheesecakes which makes you want to stop having them after a few mouthfuls. The brownie was too soft for my liking & the guy working there forgot to heat up our brownie & only told us that he forgot when we finished the brownie halfway HAHAHAH but it was nice of him to help us heat it up.
The place's rather quiet, I like the atmosphere there. Very chillax & it's a good place to catch up with friends over desserts! But I wished that they had more variety of cakes there though. Could cover all the cakes/cupcakes/brownies they have in 3 trips!
After that, we headed to Bugis. After alot of walking, Pearlyn got the top she wanted & I got myself a red knit top, white crop top, old-school looking checkered crop top, 2 poppin' cooking sets (can't wait to get them done with Kaiwen hehehe) & this really cute Snoopy pack of cards for Kaiwen's mum cause she has this hobby of collecting cards! Headed to town after that & then Pearlyn went to her Grandma's while I headed to the boy's.
Hardworking boyf in the midst of preparing for his paper which starts tomorrow! He's really been working very hard for his exams & his long attention span/focus (most of the time) makes me feel like a lazy bump cause I get distracted easily as compared to him. You're gonna do so well love & I can't wait for you to end your papers so that we can finally take a breather & get our list of things to do checked!
Teehees, immediately using the pen I got for him just for the exams!
TODAY
Woke up & realized that I was a Eeyore look-alike HAHAHAHAH Look like not?
IT IS THE EYES CONFIRM!!!
Went for my birthday lunch with the fammy @ Hilltop for Tempanyaki. Guess where is it located? Just beside my horror, Jurong Bird Park. Thank goodness we did not visit that place.
Was suppose to have family lunch last week but I wanted to fully enjoy it instead of having to rush through lunch because I had to study. So yeap. Initially, I was rather annoyed at my parents because I had another place in mind which I wanted to go & they decided on the place before informing me. But oh wells, this place wasn't too bad either though it was rather steep.
ORANGE BABY-BIBS HEHEHE SO CUTE YEAH.
The food was rather good but I was rather disappointed by the Chef & the Tempanyaki display. Normally, Tempanyaki Chefs would do amazing tricks with their utensils, tossing the salt/pepper, throwing the sauce bottle from one hand to the other etc but this chef was just bad.
1) He dropped the utensil (the frying thingy) TWICE & the second time he dropped it, he said "Wlao" like really loud infront of us. How unprofessional.
2) He asked us how we would like to have our steak & we told him "Medium Rare" but it turned out "Well Done". Not trying to be picky but the other family also had the same thing. He asked them for their preference but they also ended up having "Well Done" steak.
3) After the frying, chopping etc, he would portion the food and serve it on our plates but he did it messily. Like it was scattered all over the plate, one of my beef cubes dropped on the table as well.
But minus all those, the food was rather good. But I didn't feel very well because it's the time of the month & the ice cold orange juice didn't exactly help. Must be Karma for always laughing at Pok when she had her cramps & I never once had them. It is my first time having cramps this bad, ouhhhh not a good feeling. All I wanted was to be home & lying on my bed.
AND THAT"S HOW I SCALDED MY ARM & THIGH.
Couldn't be any clumsy/unlucky but it hurts like hell. So I got home & I felt so uncomfortable. So I wanted to make a hot water bottle for myself so that I could place it on my tummy. I boiled water, poured it into my water bottle and wrap it under a pillow case and placed it on my tummy.
And suddenly, I felt a hot, painful, stingy sensation on my upper thigh & then I realised the hot water spilled out. SCALDING HOT WATER, JUST BOILED. I literally pushed the bottle on the floor, got up from my bed, screamed in agony & my dad rushed in.
Rushed to the toilet and ran cold water on my arm and thigh simultaneously. My arm was so red & I could see a small part of my skin like wrinkling(?) At that moment, I thought my skin would peel off & I wanted to cry cause I was really scared. Calmed myself down but I ended up tearing and crying. Then my mum helped apply this chinese cooling cream thingy which is meant for burnts and stuff & it hurt so fucking bad. Cried like a baby, omg I was so terrified.
And then, blisters formed on my thigh cause it was the first area of contact from the hot water. Hurts so badly & I can't pop the blisters or break it so I'm practically bed-ridden :( Psshh, there goes my plans for the week.
Can you see the blisters? They resemble water droplets. Hurts so damn bad.
Kaiwen called me straight after he saw my text & checked if I was okay, it was really sweet of him because he was studying in school and all. Thank you sweetheart (': and then he started lecturing me. Hahaha I'll try my very best to stay safe okay. Gonna see the doctor tomorrow because I'm so worried if it'll leave scars & what food I should abstain to not have scars/inflammations.
Finished the entire series of Gossip Girls & I feel lost right now. Currently looking for other shows to watch or maybe, I should settle in on my books.
XX.
