1) Kai's duration of Intern is 6 weeks while mine, on the other hand, is 3 months. Because his school wants them to focus entirely on their FYP in year 3 hence during the Sem break, he'll be having intern instead.
2) My workplace is at Little India MRT while Kai's is at Joo Koon. Obviously we're far away from each other :( technically the other end of SG- apart.
3) Once Kai's 6 weeks of intern is up, he'll start school. I'll still be interning & completing my projects. But by then, we're much closer to each other (in terms of location, thank goodness).
I've been going on and on about Intern so where am I interning?
I'll be interning at DAS, Dyslexia Association of Singapore. Along with 3 other coursemates of mine (: I'm really looking forward to my internship because I've been told that most seniors who've worked at DAS all had alot of fun while working and of course, took back so much learning experience from their time there. Since the association focuses mainly on Dyslexia, we're gonna be focusing on English Language, something that I'm really interested in because we get to do activities like story-telling, Drama, theatre etc. (I hope). But nonetheless, I can't wait to see what awaits me.
After attending the pre-intern briefing, there is so much to do apart from going to work. There's projects, big and small. No wonder they say Year 3 is tough, it's cray I tell you but with the right company of friends & attitude, it's all gonna be fine!
What I've been up to the past few days
Hmmm let's see:
On Monday. I headed back to school for a 2 hours worth of pre-intern briefing & then headed over to my Godma's to just lepak there & spend time with them.
On Tuesday. Shit, I can't remember what I did :/ Wait, let me check. Give me 3 mins please (: Oh yeah!! It was my run-errands Tuesday. Hahaha, my goldfish memory hehs. Yeah, so I basically ran errands & also went for an express mani/treatment which was really cheap.
On Wednesday. Headed back to school for a 9AM-5PM grooming workshop which I really benefited from it, not because I suck at grooming HAHAHA, but because I really got to learn stuffs like my face shape, body type, types of colours that suits me, more about my dressing type etc.
Then I met Kai (after 8 days!!) for groccery shopping & dinnz. Before Kai sent me home, we paid Eunice & Teddy a visit keke. Kai always wanted to see the birds & Teddy but never made a date because he was so busy and now, he finally did.
On Thursday. Headed over to Kai's cause we had a cooking date. We made breakfast - Bacon Pancakes & lunch - Salmon, Mash & Salsa. Then we started building our Nano blocks before heading down to the carpark to cruise on Kai's new skateboard. It was a really happening day for us with so many activities to do.
Took out some time for Kai to practice Ollie whilst on the way back to my place. Was so fascinated by it that I decided to try. Thanks to Kai, I'm now really hooked on to learning to skate & ollie ( I did my first successful attempt btw just now, so darn proud of myself). Guess every weekend that we're both free, I'm gonna spend a bit of it with the board teehee.
On Friday. Headed over to Kai's around 11 plus, for brunch. Love love love Kai's bacons & eggs, they're always so good. Quite thankful that both of us can cook cause I know that we won't go hungry in the future & our future kid(s) is/are in good hands with full bellies. Then we just lazed around, watching shows, being our usual selves just making fun of each other and annoying each other, Kai helped me with my mask (my boyf plays many roles hahaha) before we accompanied his Sissy to her check-up for her eye.
Had dinnz, lepak more at his place, before we headed down to practice Ollie (which I managed to do once successfully kekeke) & then headed home. Exceptionally loved today's journey home because we were laughing our way home. I don't know how it started but we just crapped, did stupid stuff and laughed till my tummy hurt. Really am glad to have spent the past few days with Kai after so long of not having quality time together. It's a good recharge before intern and a celebration for our busy past months.
I'm really happy to be spending it with no one other than you.
