FEELS GOOD TO BE HOME

Finally stepped out of home after a good two weeks of lying bed because of Dengue, freedom never taste this good. Drove down to Grandma's & I really miss my Ah ma :( shall find time with Kai to visit her soon & her delish cooking yum yum in my tummy.

Then headed down to Pasir Panjang Food Centre to satisfy my satay & chicken wing cravings after having to abstain them & all sorts of food minus porridge & mee sua. Didn't hesitate to chrome them down & it felt like heaven! Hehehe.

Then Godma brought us to this cafe nearby & the cakes were so so only. But their fries & sausages were really fantastic *thumbs up for those. But what I enjoyed most out of the whole day was quality time with the Changs. Had our phones tuck aside, minus Insta of food etc, and most of us played old school games of "Happy Family" & "Donkey". Hahaha it was really really fun & it's been so long since we had fun without technology in place. We really gotta have such sess more often, glad to see that we aren't slaves of social gadgets.

At that moment, I realised how over-reliant people are of their gadgets & how often we let precious time go to waste. People nowadays aren't interested in connecting with others, small talks over meals, a game of cards etc. What happen to such times? I'm gonna make a conscious effort to encourage more of these instead of hogging over phones most of the time.

Took my last blood test, YAYYYY & hopefully my result shows that I'm free of Dengue and there's no need for any blood tests ever. Felt rather brave because I took my last blood test on my own & then went down to my favourite boy's. Been so long since I went up & ahhhh, it feels like home. Snuggled, cuddled, wrestled (unfair match cause he had the upperhand & I was wrapped up like a sushi), feels good to be in the arms of my safe haven.

First attempt at poached eggs today because Kai requested for it & it was really successful. #CHEFCHANGINDAHOUSE

Stoked for some burger-making action on Weds, now this is what I call bliss. I really hope that the storms don't continue so that I can carry out my roller-blading action with him.

And now, nothing feels better than to read my book while listening to this CD that Kai's mummy lent me. I love this genre of music, really calms & soothes the soul.

Shann's super belated birthday celebration tomorrow, I can't wait!!

XX.
