KUKUP: DAY ONE

Decided to do up the entries for my Kukup getaway (all 3 of them) because if I don't do so now, I would prolly procrastinate & it wouldn't even appear just like my Aussie trip ( kekeke I will in time to come, hopefully)

P/s: I just did an entry on my weekend/Kai's first match, so please please read it! Hehe thank you so much & Chi loves you :*

/DAY ONE/

So during the hols, I went for a short getaway with my maternal fammy to Kukup for 3D2Ns! All 21 of us took a coach up while my youngest aunt & her fammy drove up. The journey was prolly a 2 hour or lesser drive. Upon reaching, we headed to a seafood restaurant  which was a 5 mins walk away. Kukup is technically a seafood heaven because the people there live on the sea & you mainly have seafood so yupp.

On board the ferry with Sissy to our house for the next 3 days. Before I reached there, I pictured squatting toilets with no toilet bowl but instead seeing your poop drop and float in the sea. No aircon, no tv, just mattresses as beds & the poorest living conditions you can picture but NO, it was fab!!

TADAH! The house was huge & this was our room. It could accommodate three double-decker beds with King size mattresses so my fam bunked in with my 4th aunt & her fam. Hahaha look at how happy Kai Li is! And I had the whole bed to myself (:

So the house consisted of 3 bedrooms with a toilet attached to every room, 1 karaoke room, 1 room for mahjong or games, common dining area, private dining area with sea view, another common "hall" and an open deck.

Living there made me feel like a princess because meals were cooked by the host over there & we had 6 meals daily! S I X!! I was telling everyone how I couldn't keep up with the number of meals they served.

Breakfast (7AM-9/10AM) > Snack (11AM) > Lunch (1/2PM) > Teabreak (4PM) > DINNZ (7PM) > Supper (10PM) [repeat]

Their snacks & teabreaks were really filling from what I saw because my tummy couldn't handle the huge amount of food. Snacks were like beehoon, while Teabreaks were Curry chicken etc.
Thank goodness it was only 3D2Ns, else I would've gained many many kilos from all the food intake.

Then we went for a little exploring around the island.

My lil couzzie, Elizabeth, had a lil proj to do which I took great interest in. See the bear she's carrying? It's name is Casey. Everyone in their kindergarten 2 level had to take turns to bring Casey with them during their weekends & log the day's happening in this notebook. It is suppose to teach them about responsibility and observational skills.  The principal kick-started this activity by being the first person to bringing the bear along with her during the weekends.

I wished I had the chance to read the adventures that Casey has been on when this whole activity is done, all the stories from each child, it's sort of like an adventure journal.

In the evening, we had a seafood steamboat & played with many cool types of fireworks which I've never seen before since SG banned it. There were the "buzzing bees" which looked like one & creating this high-pitch buzz, shooting ones & many more. An eye-opener for us city kids since we have zero exposure to such stuff.

Celebrated Jerene's 4th birthday so Faith & I were adding on to the party atmosphere HAHAHA.
